Flökt / Flutter

Í hvikulleika augnabliksins endurspeglast skynjun á sjónarspili viðfangsefnisins. Eins og strengjasveit ljóðræddna óskilgreindra þrívíddarforma án ákveðins upphafsreits eða þá enda, skilgreinir tilfinningalegt ferðalag áhorfandans um hið flöktandi landslag myndflatarins með skírskotun í samspil í hina heilögu þrenningar , lita, forma og vídda.. Líkt og í lífinu sjálfu getur þáttakandinn staðnæmst við, upplifað og túlkað augnablikið út frá sínum forsendum án þess að krefjast neinna sérstaka rökfestu eða niðurstöðu.
Vægi innsæis og túlkunar er mikilvægari en ásjóna á spegilmynd kyrrstöðunnar.

Fimmtudaginn 8.des n.k., kl. 16 opnar Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir sýninguna “Flökt / Flutter ” á Mokka, Skólavörðustíg 3. Sýningin stendur til 25. janúar og er opið alla daga í Mokka frá 9 - 18.
Sýningin inniheldur u.þ.b. 17 málverk sem Anna Álfheiður hefur unnið á þessu ári, 2022. Verkin samanstanda af þrívíddar seríu sem hún hefur verið að vinna með síðastliðin tvö. Málverkin eru unnin í þrívíð form, með akrýl á striga annars vegar og skornum striga hins vegar þar sem lögð er áhersla á að einstök smáatriði fái að njóta sín í gegnum upplifun áhorfandans.
Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir (f.1977) útskrifaðist með B.A. gráðu í myndlist frá Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2009 og M.A. gráðu í listkennslu frá sama skóla árið 2020. Síðastliðin ár hefur Anna verið að vinna með óhlutbundin þrívíð form málverksins í anda strangflatalistar sem hún nálgast á ljóðrænan hátt. Viðfangsefni verka Önnu er að leitast við að skapa samtal milli áhorfandans og verksins í gegnum skynjun hans og upplifun á margþættum myndfletinum þar sem litanotkun, formgerð og endurtekning spila stór hlutverk í samspili við staðsetningar, tíma og rúm.

Flökt / Flutter

In a waver of moment a perception of the subject´s specticle is reflected.
Like an orchestra, undefined three demensional shape, without beginning or with no end, it defines the viewer´s emotional journey around the fluttering landscape of the image plane with reference to the interplay between the ,,holy trinity´´, i.e. colours, forms and dimension. Like in real life, the participant can stand by, experience and interpret the moment based on his/her own terms, without it demanding any specific justifications or results. The weight of intuition and interpretation is more important than a surface on the reflection of the stationary position.
On Thursday, December 8th at 16.00 pm there is an opening of Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir ́s exhibition “Flökt / Flutter” at Mokka kaffi, Skólavörðustígur 3a. The exhibition runs until january 25th. It's open daily from 9:00-18:00.
The exhibition includes about 17 new works from the artist. The works consist of the three- dimensional series that the artist has been working on for the last two years, along with new variations of the series. The paintings are three dimensional, acrylic on canvas with overlapping cut canvas stripes, where the artist emphasizes on even the smallest details for the viewer's experience.
Anna Álheiður Brynjólfsdóttir (1977) graduated with a B.A. degree in Fine Arts from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2009, and a Masters Degree in Arts Education from the same university in 2020. For the last few years the artist has been working with abstract three-dimensional shapes and forms of the painting, in the geometrical spirit, in which she approaches her subject in a poetic way. The subject of the artist's works is to seek a conversation between the viewer and the works as a whole, through the viewer's perception and experience of themultifaceted image, where the use of color, morphology and recurrence play a big role in the interaction with the environment, time and space.
