Nordic Analog Network: AIR Open Call
Nordic Analog Network – AIR Open Call
We want to invite you to a new and exciting opportunity for photographers in all the Nordic countries!
The Nordic Analog Network is collaboration between 8 open darkrooms across 5 Nordic countries that is inviting analog photographers to a new artist-in-residence program.
Any photographer or artist living in the Nordic countries and working with analog photographic techniques can apply for a stay at a darkroom in another country. The visiting artist is free to work with whatever project they want and the residency does not have any specific theme, apart from supporting work with analog photography.
The deadline for applications is January the 15th 2023.
You can find the application form and more information on our website:
https://www.nordicanalognetwork.com/
There are 10 different residency opportunities and times of year you can apply for.
The results of the Open Call and selected artists will be announced by the end of January. The selected artists will be paid a fee of 900€ which is aimed to cover the artist's travel costs, material costs and living expenses during the three-week period of residency. The darkrooms will also offer accommodation for the selected artists and free use of the darkroom workspace.
There will be an online Zoom meet up on January the 10th 2023 to hear more about the residency program and the networking darkrooms as well as get to hear from the photographers that took part in the residencies during 2022.
The Nordic Analog Network is set up with a goal to connect the analog photographic communities in the Nordic countries and help share inspiration, information and know-how in this crafts based artform. Each hosting darkroom and visiting photographer will therefore also be encouraged to share their work and process through exhibitions, workshops, public presentations or other activities during their stay.
The Nordic Analog Network is funded by the Nordic Culture Point and has been supported by the Nordic Culture Fund and Norwegian Finnish Cultural Fund.
We look forward to seeing you in the dark!
All the best
From the Nordic Analog Network
