Samband íslenskra myndlistarmanna og SÍM Residency bjóða félagsmönnum að sækja um eins mánaðar vinnustofudvöl í Budapest Gallery, Ungverjalandi og Gjutars Residency, Finnlandi árið 2025.

Vinnustofudvölin felur í sér að tveimur listamönnum frá Íslandi er boðið að dvelja í gestavinnustofunum í einn mánuð og á móti koma tveir listamenn til landsins og dvelja í SÍM Residency í einn mánuð. Markmið vinnustofustkiptanna er að listamenn fái tækifæri til þess að skipta um umhverfi, sækja innblástur og stækka tengslanet sitt þvert á listform.

Umsóknarfrestur er til 24. nóvember 2024. Umsóknarfrestur er til miðnættis þann dag sem auglýst er.

SÍM mælir með að listamenn sækji um Mugg dvalarstyrk og aðra staðbundna og evrópska styrki til þess að fjármagna dvölina.

SÍM and SÍM Residency invite members to apply for a one-month studio stay in Budapest Gallery, Hungary and Gjutars Residency, Finland in 2025.

Two artists will be selected to stay in the respective residencies for a month during spring/ summer next year. In return, two artists from Finland and Hungary will come to Iceland and stay at the SÍM Residency. The goal of the exhange is for artists to have the opportunity to change their environment, get inspiration and expand their network across disciplines.

The application deadline is November 24, 2024. The application deadline is midnight on the advertised day.

SÍM highly recommends that artists apply for a Muggur residency grant and other local and European grants to finance their stay.
