The 10th Beijing International Art Biennale, China 2025 Calls for Submission

In 2002, following international art biennale conventions and procedures, the China Artists Association established the non-profit Beijing Biennale with official approval of the State Council. By 2022, nine sessions have been successfully held, establishing connections with 150 countries across five continents. It has received submissions from over 130 countries and featured participation from nearly 120 countries. Throughout its history, more than 5,000 artists have been involved who contributed nearly 6,000 artworks, attracting millions of visitors in total. After over 20 years of development, it has evolved into China’s largest-scale international platform for artistic exchanges and exhibitions.

Themed “Coexistence”, the 10th Beijing Biennale is jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee, CPC, and the China Artists Association. “Coexistence” is an interdependent, mutually reinforcing, harmonious, and unified relationship between human beings, man and nature, and man and world. This edition, oriented by building a relationship of coexistence, is aimed at promoting the comprehensive, coordinated, and harmonious development of human beings, man and nature, and man and society.

This exhibition is tentatively determined to be held from December 31, 2025, to February 1, 2026, at the Beijing Exhibition Center. We plan to exhibit around 500 pieces of works (the final number is subject to actual selection results), which will demonstrate new developments in contemporary painting and sculpture across the world and encompass new categories of contemporary art including digital artworks, videos, installations, and other new media works. According to previous practice, the organizing committee will cover round-trip transportation costs for international participating works.

Artists should submit registration materials to the designated email address (beijingbiennale@126.com) before July 31, 2025, as required (for submission, please visit the Beijing Biennale Official Website:http://www.bjbiennale.com.cn/en/ParticipationWay/). All submitted artworks will be subject to jury selection before the exhibition.
