Open Call for photographers and artists working with analog photography who live in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) to apply for residencies at Nordic darkrooms as part of the Nordic Analog Network program in 2026.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, 25 January 2026, 13:00 (CET)
The Nordic Analog Network invites photographers and artists working with analog photography in the Nordic countries to apply for three- to six-week residencies at darkrooms in another Nordic country. Based on the applications received, the participating darkrooms will select a total of six artists for individual residencies. Selected artists receive accommodation organized by the host darkroom and a fee of 1400–1600 € (approximately 15,000–18,000 NOK) to support travel, materials, and living expenses. There is no application fee.

During their stay, residents are free to work on their own projects alongside other photographers using the darkroom. They are encouraged to share their work through presentations, workshops, small exhibitions, artist talks, or other activities, fostering exchange and networking within the analog photography community. The hosting darkrooms may also invite residents to participate in or lead workshops on sustainable photography practices.

An online information meeting will be held on 15 January 2026, and selected artists will be announced by the end of February.
