Dusk Art Festival 2023 has an Open Call for artists to present proposals around the themes: "Stones and Stones by Night", with the deadline of Friday – May 12th. This call is for artists from/ based in Iberia (Portugal and Spain), Alba (Scotland), Ísland (Iceland) and Naija (Nigeria).

In this first edition, Dusk Art Festival 2023 will select up to 30 projects, presenting themselves during the festival, either as part of the film programme and/or the publication. The festival will pay a modest fee to the selected artists, therefore welcoming already existing artworks.

The Dusk Art Festival is an international festival of contemporary art by night, in the Iberian Peninsula. It will present a uniquely curated programme that bridges contemporary art with archaeological, geological, astronomical and local community knowledge. The Festival will feature artists from different generations and diverse geopolitical backgrounds, yet all from cultures with close connections to stones and geology. Inspired by these they'll present performances, film screenings, talks, evening walks, events and projects over two nights, in the hinterland of Alentejo and Algarve.
The inaugural edition of DUSK – Art Festival curated by Nuno Sacramento and Inês Valle will take place in Portugal (Alentejo e Algarve) from June 18 to 21, 2023.
