For CHART 2026, Gallery Gudmundsdottir presents works by The Icelandic Love Corporation (ILC) and Endre Aalrust.

The Icelandic Love Corporation—Jóní Jónsdóttir and Eirún Sigurðardóttir—has worked collectively since 1996, across performance, installation, photography and video. Their interdisciplinary practice combines humour, spectacle and playfulness with a sharp social and feminist perspective. Their work has been exhibited internationally, including at MoMA in New York, ARoS, Schirn Kunsthalle and Kunsthalle Wien.

At Chart the Icelandic Love Corporation will be presenting the project Written in Blood, which explores menopause as a powerful, transformative rite of passage. With characteristic humour, playfulness and sensitivity, the Icelandic Love Corporation challenges the cultural taboos and sexist ageism surrounding the female body and reimagines menopause not as a loss, but as a moment of transition, agency and celebration.

Endre Aalrust (b. 1973, Norway) is a Berlin-based artist and filmmaker whose practice explores power, intimacy and the social codes of contemporary life. Drawing on everything from classical genres to memes, dating apps and lifestyle imagery, his paintings move between humour, vulnerability, kitsch and melancholy, reflecting the tension between connection and detachment in the digital age.
