You are formally invited to a screening of the work that came out of an artist residency at Samband íslenskra Myndlistarmanna (SÍM) in 2011 - a film titled Blood Memory. We received a grant to continue the project in 2016, and in 2021 the film was complete: a 40-minute art house film with the commercial fishing industry of Iceland as the subject. The film was professionally scored by composer Timothy Cleary, and the soundtrack pressed into a limited edition vinyl, which will be available for purchase at the screening. The film premiered last year at NeueHouse in Hollywood CA, and we're thrilled to be bringing it back to the motherland for an international screening.

The film will make its international debut onboard the beloved vessel Sæbjörg docked in Reykjavik Harbor on June 22nd at 7pm.

The filmmaker and director, assistant director, composer, and editor will all be in attendance. And beer.
