Miðvikudaginn 19. nóvember opnaði Alda Ægisdóttir (f. 1999) einkasýninguna Sól, Tungl og Talía.
Á sýningunni er persónuleg reynsla af þunglyndi og álagi móðurhlutverksins sett í samhengi við ævintýri um sofandi prinsessur, á bæði líkamlegan og táknrænan hátt. Alda skoðar hvernig goðsögur og ævintýri geta lýst sammannlegum upplifunum af dauða og endurfæðingu með vídeói og skúlptúrum.

On Wednesday, November 19th, Alda Ægisdóttir (b. 1999) opened her solo exhibition Sun, Moon and Talía.
The exhibition places personal experiences of depression and the pressures of motherhood in dialogue with fairy tales about sleeping princesses, both physically and symbolically. Through video and sculpture, Alda explores how myths and fairy tales can express shared experiences of death and rebirth.
