SÍM mælist til þess að greiðsla til myndlistarmanna fyrir störf á fagsviði þeirra séu ekki lægri en kr. 11.200 á klukkustund fyrir tilfallandi verkefni.
Upphæð þessi miðast við grunnlaun kr. 6.500 í janúar árið 2016, uppfærð miðað við hækkun launavísitölu opinberra starfsmanna í janúar 2024.
Ef verkefni er lengra en sem nemur þremur dögum, eða 24 tíma samfelldri vinnu má semja um afslátt frá þessari greiðslu.
Tilmæli SÍM eru að sá afsláttur sé veittur að hámarki skv. eftirfarandi töflu. við mælumst einnig til að veittur afsláttur sé aldrei meiri en 20%.

Jury work (including preparatory meetings)
Jury work involves the evaluation and selection of works for exhibitions or prizes and therefore requires responsibility and expertise.
Payment: kr. 15,000 pr. fund
Exhibition design and management:
In the design, most decisions about the arrangement and appearance of the exhibition, the collection of images and data, as well as the preparation of the exhibition program and the supervision of the exhibition.
Payment: ISK 9,077 pr. hour *
An artist works on the installation of his own exhibition,

Art-trained technicians in the installation of exhibitions, where responsibility and expertise are required.

Repair of own works: Minimum payment: ISK 35,000 *
An artist's guided tour of museums or exhibitions, own or other, also guided tours with foreign or domestic visitors by public bodies.
Artist talk by an artist about his own exhibition.
